The IFC Merge plugin for BIMvision introduces enhanced options for combining elements from multiple IFC files into a single model. New features provide greater control over the merging process, helping users maintain model structure, preserve relationships, and manage data more efficiently.
What’s new?
- Intelligent GUID conflict handling – choose whether elements with duplicate GUIDs should receive new identifiers or be skipped.
- Flexible spatial structure merging – merge models at site, building, or building storey level, with options to combine structures based on their names or GUIDs.
- Complete assemblies – automatically include all components belonging to a selected IfcElementAssembly.
- Connected MEP networks – include connected networks and systems when selecting installation elements such as pipes or ducts.
- Improved export options – account for model coordinate transformations and export the merged model in IFCZIP format.
- Merge logs – review the merging process and check relevant information recorded in the log file.
More efficient IFC model coordination
These enhancements make IFC Merge more flexible when working with models from different disciplines or combining files previously split into smaller parts. Users can choose the appropriate merging strategy, control how spatial structures are consolidated, and include the assemblies and connected networks required for a more complete result.
IFC Merge for BIMvision – merge smarter, maintain model integrity, and streamline your IFC workflow.
