Check out the new features to make working with the Search and Select plugin even more enjoyable.

Faster group browsing – Collapse/Expand

New global group content expansion and collapse features let you quickly manage your display. When your groups are expanded, you can select items individually and explore them in detail. Collapsing groups opens a clear view of listing groups by name. Collapsing and expanding by one level affects all groups in the list simultaneously.

User change protection

If you try to load another file or create a new one while working, the program will inform you about unsaved plugin data and give you the option to save it. This protects you from losing your work.

Additional navigation options

Additional navigation options have been added. You can quickly see what level of development you’re at and easily navigate the hierarchical structure using the dynamic navigation panel.

Summary bar

You can quickly see how many unique objects there are in your groups. The summary bar shows how many groups, rows, and objects there are, as well as the current selection status.

New interface

The plugin icons have been updated in the new version

Highlighting edited groups

If a group is open for editing, we can also easily see this in the group list. The visual highlight directly indicates that the item is being edited. This allows the user to continue editing in the dedicated group window or close it to make changes directly in the list.

Quick access to the most important functionalities

A quick access bar has been introduced. This allows users to decide which options are most important and frequently used. Selected functions can be stored in a dedicated top bar for quick access.

Attaching data

You can now add groups from different .selectors files. This makes it easy to expand your group list by using previously created groups.

Expanding the recording function

Now you can save changes to your .selectors file on the fly. If you’re creating a new file, use “Save as” first. Once the file is saved to your computer, you’ll see the path to its location, and you can save any subsequent changes by clicking “Save.”

Information about the current status of the record

When you open your saved .selectors file, you’ll not only see the path to it, but you’ll also be able to quickly check the current save status. If you make any new changes or groups, an asterisk “*” next to the path will alert you to any unsaved data. You can use the Ctrl+S shortcut (with the plugin window active) to quickly save your changes. You can also simply select “Save” after expanding “File.”

Recently opened

Now, in the plugin, next to the Open and Add buttons, you’ll also find information about recently used files. This gives you quick access to files you’ve recently worked with.
