Version BV 3.1.4 introduces a number of improvements that enhance workflow, application performance, and the quality of IFC model support. The update focuses on both system performance optimization and refined user interface elements.
A Drive mode has been added, allowing movement along a selected alignment curve. The camera automatically rotates in the direction tangent to the curve, allowing for smooth and natural observation of the route. Movement along the curve is performed by scrolling with the mouse button. Additionally, the viewpoint can be moved with the right mouse button, allowing the user to adjust the view to their current needs. A simulation of a traverse along the curve can also be triggered by activating an animation. A camera movement lock option is also available, allowing the user to maintain a constant viewing direction during the traverse. The user can manually configure camera parameters, such as height and offset from the traverse axis. The camera movement speed can also be adjusted.
Scaling optimizations for large models have also been implemented. These adjustments improve the application’s stability when working with large and multi-discipline projects.
The user interface has been streamlined by separating IfcAnnotation and IfcGrid. This change improves the clarity of the model structure and makes it easier to manage the visibility of individual object types.
Interface improvements have also been made to the functionality of drop-down lists. The uniform behavior of these lists across the application translates into a more consistent and predictable user experience.
